Hello Moore Families,
My name is Isabel Jiménez Crouse the Family Engagement Liaison. This is my second year in this position but have worked at Moore for five years as a Paraeducator ISP in our SSN classroom. I began working at Jefferson Public Schools in 2014 at Little Elementary.
I was born in Pueblo, Colorado and moved to Boulder, Colorado to attend the University of Colorado. In 1999 I moved to Arvada where I raised my four children.
I believe in the PTA Six National Standards for Family-School Partnerships:
Standard 1 -Welcome All Families
Standard 2 -. Communicate Effectively
Standard 3 - Support Student Success
Standard 4 - Speak Up for Every Child
Standard 5 - Share Power and
Standard 6 - Collaborate With Community.
And I believe in the Four Essential Core Beliefs of Family School Partnership:
1. All families have dreams for their children and want the best for them.
2. All families have the capacity to support their children's learning.
3. Families and school staff are equal partners.
4. The responsibility for cultivating and sustaining partnerships among school, home, and community rests primarily with school staff, especially school leaders.
"As an engaged family member-parent, grandparent or other caregiver-you make essential contributions to your children's education to make their potential a reality. The research is clear 'Findings from the Global Family Research Project report' show that when families and teachers join together to support children's learning and development, children are more likely to succeed in school, graduate and stay on their path to college or a career." ~The Center for Family Engagement.
We all want our children to live happy productive lives, together we can work to make that happen. Please contact me anytime for resources here at school and in our community. I continue to look forward to working with you and your student(s).
